"I have tried many acupuncturists and alternative healers in the past but couldn't find one that could truly address the dimensionality of complex trauma in my body. Alison is a one woman orchestra tuning the mind, body, and spirit with her intuitive and skillful touch to a coherent frequency of wellness. er gentle needling approach was exactly what my body needed to feel safe enough to activate its self-healing wisdom. Beyond needles, Alison used other modalities that encouraged my body to relax. Healing never felt so good! Alison is a dynamic gifted healer."

TOOLKIT

A 2500 year old medicine that views human beings as a part of nature and that natural healing comes from restoring the homeostatic mechanisms within.
Biological energy, or qì (pronounced chee) animates the body via fascial pathways, or the interstitium. The free flow of qì is fundamental in the organization of the autonomic nervous system, thereby impacting every aspect of health.

I practice a gentle, Japanese acupuncture style that inserts thin, stainless steel needles into select locations on the skin promote optimal organ function. Every acupuncture treatment is uniquely customized to you through a series of touch reflexes on the forearm, abdomen, and pulse, that provide precise diagnostics.
Often, fine tools made of copper, silver, brass or gold are used to vibrate, brush or tap points and meridians to stimulate the appropriate physiological response. This targeted approach allows you to feel noticeably better following treatment.

The roots, fruits, flowers, and leaves of plants contain powerful phytochemical properties that catalyze change in the body by providing nutrition on a cellular level.
I primarily prescribe constitutional remedies from Classical Pearls Formulas, ethically sourced, and alchemically perfected by Dr. Heiner Fruehauf, a preeminent classical Chinese herbalist based in Corbett, OR.
-
Flower essence therapy utilizes potent herbal infusions made of flowers, plants and minerals to bring insight into emotional patterns and help create new habits of thought. These are particularly helpful amidst major life transitions.
-
Bodywork involves both craniosacral therapy and Sotai therapy.
Craniosacral therapy is a manual European osteopathic technique that softly manipulates the cranial bones and sacroiliac joint to restore the flow of cerebrospinal fluid from the brain to the pelvic region. This regulates the autonomic nervous system and effectively reduces pain.

Nutrition
The art of nourishment includes individualized dietary therapy, recipe inspiration and menu development for whole families, as well as plain practices to encourage gut health and a flourishing microbiome.
I encourage intuitive eating cultivated in simplicity, influenced by East Asian dietetics, vibrant farmers markets, and the French–German & Scots–Irish rituals of my heritage.
When appropriate, I incorporate instruction for seasonal, nutrient–rich cleanses. This work accommodates the omnivore, vegetarian, or grain–free palette.
Self–care Practices
This includes optimizing hormonal health with practices such as breathwork, teas, acupressure at home & self–essential oil treatments.
-
A mind–body stress technique that combines muscle testing with the meridian system of the body to identify the root emotional cause of a physiological disease and alleviate stress responses. Homeopathic remedies following the treatment ensure integration and continued relief.
In East Asian medicine, each organ correlates to an emotion. The Kidney organ network associates with fear, the Liver organ network with anger, the Heart organ network with joy, the Spleen organ network with worry, and the Lung organ network with grief.
Through reflex points and acupressure, emotions past and present are cleared directly from the organs. This inspires a path to embodiment and personal liberation.

Often, the most healing offering is one of presence. Mindfulness is an innate part of all of the modalities I draw from. During our time together, I may guide a meditation to help connect you more deeply to your interior landscape, or instruct specific actions you can take to increase your awareness and regulate your nervous system right now, and everyday.
To begin with we are one-celled creatures–
blind, wildly incompetent, pawing about
in the waters of the dark. Then we grow
spines, limbs, feel the ghost movement
in our coccyges–the memory of tails.
There is such a thing as tiger life–
a primitive pattern of the universe
imprinted in our hearts.
